Loyal DomainNameStrategy.com readers will recognize the clock in the photograph below. It is the Clock of Citizens in Brussels, Belgium, so named because each of the figures represents a famous Belgian citizen. I first posted a photo of this clock back in June, the last time I was here in Brussels for the ICANN meeting. Now I’m back in Brussels for another ICANN meeting, this time between the Board and the Governmental Advisory Committee (GAC).
The purpose of this meeting is for the GAC to have an opportunity to bring up outstanding issues that it has with ICANN’s new gTLD program and the most recent version of the Applicant Guidebook. The GAC released a scorecard of these issues, which can be viewed here. I will be posting updates as the meeting goes on, so stay tuned.
