The Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) (whose mission it is to “make the Internet work better by producing high quality, relevant technical documents that influence the way people design, use, and manage the Internet”) is holding its public meeting next week, from Sunday, July 28 to Friday, August 2 at the InterContinental Berlin in Berlin, Germany.

On Wednesday, July 24, the U.S. House Energy and Commerce Committee will hold a hearing “The U.S. – E.U. Free Trade Agreement: Tipping Over the Regulatory Barriers” in Rayburn, House Office Building, Room 2123 at 9:45 AM.

ICANN’s Public Comment Periods

  • July 25: Comment period closes on the draft final report on Universal Acceptance of Internationalized Domain Name Top Level Domains (IDN TLDs).
  • August 1: Comment period closes on the draft final report from the Country Code Names Supporting Organization (ccNSO) Study Group on the Use of Country and Territory Names as TLDs.
  • August 28: Comment period closes on the Generic Names Supporting Organization (GNSO) Structures Charter Amendment Process.
