On November 7, some of us here at FairWinds had the opportunity to attend a taping of Meet the Press, an American news and politics show. Yvette Miller, Elizabeth Cummings and I, along with Robin Levy of Alston + Bird, a law firm FairWinds frequently works with, got to visit the set for the first episode to air after the midterm elections. Guests included New Jersey’s new governor Chris Christie, Sen. Jim DeMint of South Carolina, Republican strategist Mike Murphy, former White House Communications Director Anita Dunn, Karen Hughes of PR firm Burson-Marsteller and Marc Morial of the National Urban League. Much of the discussion focused on what the new Republican-majority Congress will do over the next few years.
