Josh Bourne and Phil Lodico, Co-Founders and Managing Partners of FairWinds Partners, LLC, are proven experts who have spent their careers advising Global 500 and other leading brands on how to navigate the domain name space. They formed FairWinds Partners after working together for six years as Business Development Managers at Register.com, a major global corporate domain name registrar, where they helped establish the company’s corporate services program. Bourne and Lodico also founded and run CADNA, a non-profit association dedicated to ending the systemic domain name abuses that plague the Internet.
Josh Bourne is a renowned thought leader on the domain name system, Internet traffic and marketing strategies, and corporate online risk management, and is a frequent speaker at industry events. He is a member of the International Trademark Association’s Internet Committee, and serves as President of CADNA. Prior to his work at Register.com, he served as the Special Assistant to David T. Kearns, former Deputy Secretary of Education, and Chairman and CEO of the Xerox Corporation. A graduate of the University of Richmond, he received a B.A. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and a Minor in Leadership Studies. Bourne lives with his wife, Blair, and their two sons and daughter in suburban Washington, D.C.
Phil Lodico is widely recognized as an expert on Internet strategy, with a focus on the domain name system, online customer behavior and consumer interactions. He represents FairWinds in ICANN’s Business Constituency and is also a member of ICANN’s 2009 Nominating Committee. Lodico also serves as Vice President of CADNA. A graduate from Hobart College, he received a B.A. in Economics and Psychology, receiving honors for his work in Consumer Choice Theory.
